Agassiz students honour Pink Shirt Day with kind notes, appreciation

The school featured a ‘Kindness Wall’ so every student could have something nice shared about them

Kindness was the theme of this year’s Pink Shirt Day for students in Agassiz.

At Agassiz Elementary Secondary School, every student was able to have something positive said about them through the Kindness Wall and the Good Vibes Display.

These walls were designed by the high school’s student council and the Career 7 class, and featured kind notes for students and staff.

Some thanked individual students for things like “making us smile with your knock knock jokes” or “for asking me about my day,” while others said nice things about teachers or entire classes.

Two students from each grade were also chosen to be honoured for their kind, caring and considerate personalities.

Throughout the day on Feb. 24, students were also awarded “pop-up prizes,” including spirit wear and treats from The Rolling Pin, if they were caught being kind.
