Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue worked together with Hope and Chilliwack Search and Rescue to assist two stranded snow bikers in the Hemlock Valley area.

On Monday, April 11, CSAR and HSAR responded to requests for snowmobiles and operators. The Hemlock Valley Fire Department assisted the rescue efforts with their knowledge of the area for effective mapping and communication.

All parties were found safe and returned home at 1 a.m.

Two days later, KHSAR responded to a possible overturned vessel on Harrison Lake. Volunteers launched The Spirit of Harrison to discover a large piece of styrofoam rather than a vessel.

KHSAR reminds the public to call 911 as soon as possible in the event of an emergency situation.
